Who we are and our two roles

This Privacy Policy explains how Retro Industries Inc., a Florida corporation doing business as Ship Safe Offers, operates shipsafeoffers.com, the Ship Safe Offers services, the Margin Safe Discounts app, and the Margin Safe Packer mobile app (together, the Services), and how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information.

For our website visitors, sales prospects, and account holders, we act as a controller. When we process a merchant’s store, catalog, order, and shopper data to provide the Services, we act as a processor or service provider on that merchant’s behalf and under our Data Processing Addendum. Shoppers who buy from a merchant should read that merchant’s privacy policy first; we do not have a direct relationship with a merchant’s shoppers.

Information we collect

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the Services are not directed to children.

  • Contact and account information: name, business name, work email, phone, role, and login credentials.
  • Audit inputs: catalog exports, product category, order-volume ranges, carrier or shipping-mode mix, and origin information submitted for a Protected Offer Audit.
  • Communications: messages, support requests, and form or survey responses.
  • Billing information: billing contacts and transaction records. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.
  • Connected store and product information: products, variants, dimensions, weights, prices, and costs provided by the merchant.
  • Cart and order information needed to compute and reconcile an offer: line items, destination, shipping choices, order totals, and fulfillment status.
  • Shipment and fulfillment records, including packing evidence captured through Margin Safe Packer.
  • Limited shopper information contained in an order, such as name and delivery address, used to price, fulfill, and reconcile that order.
  • Margin Safe Packer data: shipment photographs, AR/LiDAR or manual dimensions, entered weight, checklist answers, notes, operator identity, and timestamps.
  • Device and log information: IP address, browser or device type, pages viewed, and application diagnostics.
  • First-party website measurement: page path, referring domain, campaign tags, and controlled interaction names such as a call-to-action click, calculator use, pilot-fit step, or form outcome. Analytics events do not contain names, email addresses, company names, message text, or values entered into the calculator.
  • Strictly necessary website cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.

Consented delivery-location imagery

If a shopper chooses to use a fit or in-space visualization feature, photos of the delivery location or home are collected only with that person’s consent. The imagery is used to verify fit and help the shopper visualize the product in the space. It is retained only as described below and deleted after a verified request unless a record must be retained by law.

How we use information

We may use aggregated and de-identified operational information, such as predicted-versus-actual shipment outcomes, to improve accuracy. We do not sell personal information. We do not use a merchant’s confidential catalog or its shoppers’ personal data to benefit a competing merchant.

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services, including computing offers and reconciling orders.
  • Deliver the Protected Offer Audit and communicate its results.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support.
  • Understand which public pages and tools are useful, improve the website, and attribute a submitted business inquiry to its landing page, referring domain, or campaign.
  • Send service communications and, where permitted, marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Process payments and maintain required business records.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues and comply with law.

Legal bases for EEA and UK users

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host, secure, and support the Services under contract.
  • Platforms and carriers selected by a merchant, to obtain rates, book shipments, and reconcile orders at that merchant’s direction.
  • A payment processor when payment is required.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
  • A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there. Where an international transfer requires a legal safeguard, we use an appropriate mechanism such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention and rights in data

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and resolve disputes. For an active merchant account and a reasonable period afterward, operational records may include order history, packout estimates, shipment profiles, shipment or consented delivery imagery, measured dimensions, quoted-versus-actual carrier bills, tracking data, and delivery-performance records.

As between Ship Safe Offers and a merchant, the merchant owns the store, catalog, and order information used to run its business. Ship Safe Offers retains its rights in other data that is not directly related to the merchant’s business operations, including derived measurements, packout and delivered-cost intelligence, reconciliation outputs, accuracy metrics, and aggregated or de-identified learning data, together with the models, datasets, and methods used to produce them.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information; opt out of marketing; object to or restrict certain processing; or appeal a decision. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. For information we process for a merchant, we will refer the request to that merchant.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, keyed service boundaries, fail-closed authentication, and least-privilege permissions. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. See our Security & Trust Statement.
